Meet Mary Surratt, Convicted Assassin!
The Princeton Arts Society will present Muriel Dyas, a costumed interpreter, portraying Mary Surratt, the American woman convicted of conspiracy in a plot to assassinate Abraham Lincoln, on Sunday, April 1, at 2:00 pm in the PAS Room at The Princeton Center building, 18 Boylston Ave., Princeton. Muriel has been featured in The Boston Globe, The Worcester Telegram and Gazette, and has been praised as “a gifted story teller with a sparkling sense of humor.”
An exhibit of portraits by the PAS Portrait Group of other female characters in Muriel’s repertoire will be on display, including Anne Boleyn, Marie Antoinette, and Queen Elizabeth I.
Q & A will follow the performance. Refreshments appropriate to the Civil War era will be provided. The program is free and open to the public. For more information, email contact@princetonarts.org.
