Burning permits are available in the Public Safety Building from the dispatchers.
The fee for a burning permit is $10.00
Burning is allowed between January 15th and May 1st.
Please call in to the dispatch center on the days you wish to burn between 9 am and 12 noon for permission.
The burning may then be started at no earlier than 10 am and burning may continue until no longer than 4 pm.
The State DEP controls the privilege of burning under the clean air standards.
Burning may not be allowed if conditions are too dry or too windy, and burning may be stopped early if deemed too dangerous.
