Princeton Historical Society invites all to attend their annual meeting on November 19, 2011 at 9:30AM at the Princeton Community Center on Boylston Ave. in Princeton. Starting at 10AM, following their brief annual meeting, the Society is sponsoring a free presentation by student author Eamon McCarthy Earls entitled
" Wachusett: How Boston's 19th Century Quest for Water Change Four Towns and a Way of Life"
Wachusett Reservoir is one of the greatest civil engineering marvels in Massachusetts history, is profiled in Eamon's new book, which is the first book devoted to the reservoir, and encompasses every aspect of the project. For the residents of Clinton, Boylston, West Boylston, and Sterling, Wachusett Reservoir is an integral part of their lives, and forms a sizable chapter in each town's history. Earl's book is 156 pages in length and includes 90 illustrations. Copies of his book will be on sale after his presentation.
