Hey Day October 1st at Wachusett Meadow
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - SIGN UP SOON IF YOU CAN
Would love to have some Hey Day help from anyone interested and available Saturday Oct 1 (rain date is Sunday Oct 2). The event runs 11am – 4pm, though vendors arrive and other set up will occur earlier, and at least some clean up will have to occur immediately after the event. Hopefully, planning for short shifts throughout the day will allow everyone the flexibility to help a little or a lot as you may wish, and also to allow time to enjoy the event as a participant as well.
Shifts are listed below, please let us know what shift(s) you can commit to, if you are able to help on the rain date if it should be needed.
SET UP: 10am-11am
AM SHIFT: 10:30am-12:30pm
LUNCH SHIFT: 12:30pm-2:30pm
PM SHIFT: 2:30pm-4:30pm
CLEAN UP: 4pm-5pm
A few other notes:
We will need help with parking, ponding, canoeing(fitting PFDs, helping launch and land participants), guided hikes, monarch tagging, lots of kids activities, greeters/membership, cider pressing, maintaining water jugs and trash barrels, etc. If you are interested in helping with a particular function, we will certainly try to accommodate – otherwise, indicate “as needed”. As we hear back from everyone, we will put together a schedule and will let you know in advance where and when we can use your help.
