SUBJECT: PRINCETON ARTS SOCIETY SPRING SHOW & SALE (Long Version)
The Princeton Arts Society 20th Anniversary Art Exhibit & Sale will be held May 13 - 15. To celebrate this important event, the exhibit has been expanded to include over 150 pieces of two- and three-dimensional works of art by over 80 Worcester County artists. In addition, 40 pieces of art by the students of Wachusett Regional High School will be on display, and there will be a poetry wall featuring poems regarding art written by Thomas Prince School students. Also, a selection of artwork by the PAS portrait group will be on display.
The exhibit will be held at the Princeton Center Building, 18 Boylston Avenue, in Princeton. Artwork and events will be held in the gymnasium and the new PAS Arts Society room on the first floor – both are handicapped accessible.
- An Artists Reception will be held Friday, May 13, from 7 - 9 pm and will feature live music by the West Wynd Clarinet Ensemble and an Awards Ceremony at 8 pm.
- Gallery Hours are Saturday, May 14, 10 am - 9 pm and Sunday, May 15, 12 noon - 4 pm.
- Several Special Events are planned including a Senior Open House Saturday 10 am - 2 pm; a Public Reception Saturday evening from 7 pm - 9 pm featuring ribbons and prizes to be awarded to WRHS students and live music with Jennifer Caswell and Company on keyboard with vocals; and Sunday live music by Gunjan, a contemporary Indian music group from 2:30 to 4 pm and the Popular Choice Award announcement at 3:30 pm.
The event will also include a raffle table with 25 wonderful products, services, and gift certificates provided by businesses and individuals throughout the Worcester area including beautiful art work donated by member artists. A book of 25 raffle tickets will be available for a $5.00 donation. You do not need to be present to win.
Please come and help us celebrate! Refreshments and non-alcoholic beverages will be offered throughout the event. Enjoy the artwork, entertainment, refreshments, raffle, and festivities. Vote for your favorite artwork. Take home a piece of original art work. A portion of all sales will benefit the Princeton Arts Society. Entry is free. This event is funded in part by a grant from the Princeton Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
