Wachusett Region Recycling Center - Upcoming Collection dates
Wachusett Watershed Region Recycling Center, 131 Raymond Huntington Highway, West Boylston will be open on Saturday, June 5 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and on Wednesday, June 16 from 3 to 7 p.m. for the collection of electronics and appliances and other bulk items.   Appliances, electronics and other bulk items will be collected for a fee. On Saturday, July 17, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon the Center will be open only for collection of paints and household chemicals with a fee. Wachusett Earthday, the Department of Conservation and Recreation and the Towns of Boylston, Holden, Paxton, Princeton, Rutland, Sterling and West Boylston are partners in offering the collection for residents of seven Wachusett towns .

The items which will be collected for a fee are computer monitors ($3 per monitor), all TVs ($10 each), large appliances and metal machines including washers, dryers, stoves, hot water heaters and snow blowers, swing sets or other scrap metal ($5 each), small appliances ($2/each) items with refrigerants such as refrigerators, dehumidifiers, freezers or air conditioners ($15 each), furniture ($5 each), sleeper couches ($10 each), small quantities of household project debris such as wood, bricks, concrete, wallboard is ($30/cubic yard), car tires  ($2  per tire with or without rims), truck tires at larger 19" and larger equipment tires $10-$80 each), propane tanks ($4 per 20 pound or smaller tank, $40 per larger tank).

Items which we will accept with no fee are mercury themometers and other mercury items, flourescent tubes and all batteries sorted by type, all computer parts except monitors,  bicycles, good used furniture, home furnishings and appliances, paper, cardboard, #6 clean styrofoam, plastics, metal cans, glass. Directions:  I-190, Exit 5, north one block on Route 140 to light, left on Legg Road and travel 0.8 mile to the entrance on the right.  Or Laurel Street, West Boylston or Manning Street, Holden to Raymond  Huntington Highway (parallel with I-190 at Holden/West Boylston town line), and travel 0.9 mile to the entrance on the left.
